Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Family and Friends,
Please support us as we walk for the seniors of the Los Angeles Jewish Home during their annual Walk of Ages. We have been involved with this Walk since the beginning, 17 years ago. My how time flys!!!
We are supporting the Home because we know about the incredible work that the Home is doing for the community’s neediest elderly. This year they are celebrating the Centenarians who have been living there. Yes, 100 year olds still living and being cared for by the Home.
Sid’s brother, Lou Lampert, has now been in the Home for 4 years. He is “living” there each day. He paints, sings in the choir, writes poetry, plays bridge (always looking for that 4th player), plays poker 2nights a week, does word games and is learning Spanish. Lou is now 92 years “young”. He is very involved with the activities of the Home. Because of his activities ,he has very limited time to call and chat with us. So, we schedule our time to be with him at lunchtime, and with one of our daughters who lives close by, we all catch up on Lou's many activities. Oh, those Blintzes and soup are so good!!!
Come walk with us on November 20 at Woodley Park, Van Nuys, around beautiful Lake Balboa and see all the different ducks, birds and other wild life. If you cannot walk with us, please support us with a donation in our name. Thank you so much for your support as we Walk for the Home!
With gratitude, Sandi & Sid
